When to choose it

Anywhere a solid suit would work, which is nearly everywhere. It is a particularly strong second navy or charcoal suit, because it gives you variation from the first without introducing a pattern you have to think about. It is also excellent for photography, where flat solids can look dull.

Wearing it

Treat it exactly as you would a solid suit. Any shirt and tie combination that works with a plain navy or gray will work here. Because the texture is subtle, you have more freedom with patterned shirts and ties than you would with a check or a stripe.
